Telavi Aerodrome is located 5 kilometers from the city center. The airfield was the location of the film of George Danelia "Mimino" and since 2016 received the same name. Since 2000, training flights of the Georgian Aviation University have been conducted at the airport.

The airfield is located in the G airspace, surrounded by the E airspace. Flights in the airspace of the airfield, taxiing, take-off and landing are carried out only with the permission of the Telavi-Tower supervisor.
