Queen Tamara Airport is located in the mountainous region of Samergel-Svaneti in the north of the country, 2 kilometers northeast of the city center. The airport serves cargo and passenger flights connecting the region with Kutaisi and Tbilisi (Natakhtari airfield).
Due to its location in one of the most picturesque regions of the country and the nearby two ski resorts, the airport increases passenger flow every year.

Briefing
The runway and taxiways are not equipped with lighting. Parking 6 is used as an isolated parking.
There are only VFR flights at Mestia. During the operation of the Mestia-Information controller, local aerodrome flight information is provided. In the absence of a controller, only flight information.
The airfield is located in the Golf airspace. For flights, a flight plan must be submitted. Contact the Mestia-Information control center 5 minutes before crossing the borders of the area of responsibility.
